Byron Bay Wedding Photographer – Best of 2016

2016 was a year full of colour and culture. We also saw some of the most beautiful parts of the world, this makes us thankful every day that we are so privileged to be able to do what we do.

It was also the start of Light Pictures taking it’s next step towards being a family business with my sister Hannah joining me as my main partner in crime. Big thanks to Hannah for so much support in all the good times and also in the tough times.

Most of our work is now in Byron Bay which is where we aim to be centralised in the coming years. Byron is where our hearts are and where all the inspiration comes from, it really is the best part of Australia in our humble opinions.

Also a big thanks to my fave 2nd shooter Rachael Muller, couldn’t have gotten through it without her!

Thanks to my two little tykes Louis and Layla, for giving me huge purpose in this world, and to Jane for being a great mum.

Below are my favourite pics of what was a big year, in many ways.

We hope you enjoy the flashback as much as we did making these moments in time.

Very much looking forward to being a part of our couples’ big days in the coming 2017… and beyond!

Sydney Wedding Photography – Lutalo and Devina

Sydney Wedding Photography – Lutalo and Devina

A wedding is the coming together of family and friends on two peoples very special day.

This was one day two cultures also came together, in an explosion of colour and dance.

More to come of that soon, but for now a few of my faves from Lutalo and Devina’s day.

I have never seen a more stunning dress, oh the detail!

Sam wears it so elegantly.

Joel, Mr Suave with his perfect bow-tie.

Thanks for the roller-coaster ride you two, what a day!

Just a couple of my faves to tease you all, it was so hard, I left several off from my first choice out ;(

Big Thanks to Rachael Muller my partner in crime for her priceless help, especially after a nasty ankle twist mid reception.

Sydney Wedding – Joel and Annalisa – a few teasers

Sydney Wedding Photography – Joel and Annalisa

Joel and Annalisa were two people that I just clicked with off the mark. We share the same love of things in life.

It was such a pleasure and an honour to be a part of their wedding.

Sydney was stunning.

Annalisa was even more stunning.

Thanks you two. Enjoy your honeymoon!

More to come soon.

Sydney Wedding Photography – Wedding at Q Station

Sydney Wedding Photography | Ann and Paul’s Wedding at Q Station [teasers] by Deus Photography

Ann and Paul’s love story has the quintessential elements of an antipodean romance.  They first met at their workplace in Sydney, and while Paul had plans to move back to the UK he couldn’t quite shake the feeling that he needed this woman by his side.   As fate would have it, Ann felt the same way and they are now living happily ever after in Paul’s home country.   To take advantage of the Sydney summer they held their wedding at Q Station, which has some of the best Sydney wedding photography opportunities a photographer could hope for.

Q Station is renowned for its panoramic views of Sydney’s incredible harbour and location within the beautiful surrounds of Sydney Harbour National Park.  Q Station’s fascinating and slightly macabre history has been well and truly replaced by a thriving wedding and accommodation establishment.  The meals provided to the guests and my Sydney wedding photography team were really top shelf.  I was relieved to see they were also compliant with the ‘I Quit Sugar‘ Program that Jane currently has me on (with the exception of the delicious wedding cake, which I didn’t touch, promise!  That was really tough!).

Considering the amount of wedding planning-from-afar that Ann and Paul would have experienced, I was amazed to see the amount of personal touches and DIY that were scattered throughout the wedding.  Ann and her bridesmaids were responsible for designing and making their stunning dresses.  Ann also made her own bridal necklace and was involved in the making of her bouquet. What a touching tribute to her home country her bouquet was, using our national flower the Flannel Flower.

Thank you to And and Paul and your families for having me along to your heartfelt wedding at Q Station.  Enjoy the sneak peeks below, and of course your new status as husband and wife.

Wollongong Wedding Photography – Steve and Monique – a few frames

A couple of favourite frames as I go through editing the very cool wedding of Steve and Monique.

Jane and I decided to make this one a road trip from Brisbane, yes to Wollongong! Such a great area, we all had a ball.

Thanks guys for allowing me to be a part of your day, and to Trent Daft for being my wingman!

More to come soon.
